BY JOINING THE EKKIA SPORT GROUP, HORSE PILOT EMBARKS ON A NEW STAGE OF ITS DEVELOPMENT
Founded in Cysoing (Northern France) in 2010 by Simon Dewavrin, Aurélien Guillon, and Guillaume Janin, Horse Pilot has established itself as a distinctive brand in the equestrian market by breaking away from traditional riding conventions and offering products that are more technical, functional, and contemporary, designed to support riders in the real practice of their sport.
Certified as a B Corp since 2025, Horse Pilot has built a strong identity around performance, product innovation, purposeful design, and a modern understanding of riders’ needs. The brand has developed a comprehensive range of approximately 200 products, with a constant focus on comfort, safety, durability, and freedom of movement.
Distributed in France and internationally across nearly 40 countries, Horse Pilot today relies on a network of specialized retailers, pure players, international distributors, events, and digital channels. This presence reflects the brand’s growing recognition among riders, both in France and around the world.
The acquisition of 100% of the company’s share capital by EKKIA SPORT marks an important milestone in Horse Pilot’s history and will enable the brand to continue its development while preserving what makes it unique: its sporting DNA, its capacity for innovation, its storytelling, and its close connection with riders.
For its part, the EKKIA SPORT Group strengthens its brand portfolio, which now includes nearly 70 owned or distributed brands, and will provide Horse Pilot with access to its organization, supported by a powerful commercial platform (including 100 Padd stores in France and more than 2,000 retailers across over 70 countries), as well as its product development and logistics capabilities.
Simon Dewavrin, Aurélien Guillon, and Guillaume Janin, founders of Horse Pilot, commented:
"Horse Pilot has always been a unique brand within the equestrian world. We wanted to create products that speak to today’s riders: technical, practical, committed, and with a strong personality. Joining forces with EKKIA SPORT opens a new chapter for the brand. It provides Horse Pilot with the resources needed to continue growing while preserving the qualities that define its strength: its vision, its product standards, and its ability to think outside the box."
Pascal Gautherin, President of EKKIA SPORT, stated:
"For EKKIA, this acquisition reflects our strong commitment to strengthening our offering in the premium and technical rider equipment segment. Horse Pilot is a well-recognized French brand, and our ambition is to provide it with the means to reach the next level by leveraging the resources of the EKKIA Group. We want to preserve Horse Pilot’s unique identity while giving it the support needed to accelerate its growth and international reach."
