1/ Some choosing criteria

The choice of a saddle is very important as it will define your pleasure to ride (if it does not suit you, you will not feel comfortable). For your purchase you will have to consider
different factors:

your budget that will determine the quality and durability of the saddle depending
on the intensity of the use,

the riding discipline you practice which will guide you on the choice of the model:
wide and comfortable for outside riding or technical for competition,

your body type will determine the size of the saddle.

There are two measurement units: in centimeters and inches. As it is possible to
take the measures in two different ways; the size equivalence is not always perfect.
Only testing will guarantee a good fitting saddle. Of course, do not hesitate to follow the advice
of your qualified saddler who will do his best for your satisfaction and let you try out the saddle.

3/ The Wintec and Bates "CAIR®" system

The revolutionary panel system designed to give your horse the ultimate comfort.
Take the pressure off your horse’s back…and the weight off your mind...

CAIR® panels are placed in the same part of your saddle as the flocking in traditionally stuffed panels.
CAIR® pannels fluidly adjust with your horse’s muscle movement.
CAIR® air panels hold their shape unlike traditional stuffing which will, over time, ride down and become unevenly compacted.
CAIR® air panels do not need adjustment or special maintenance and require no re-stuffing.
CAIR® air panels constantly adapt to your horse’s shape as the back and shoulder muscles work.

Potential pressure points of
traditional panels.
CAIR® evenly distributes
the pressure.
Pressure will be distributed evenly across the entire length of the panel,
virtually eliminating pressure points.

The CAIR® Panel System ends soreness and fatigue by virtually eliminating pressure points, and providing shock and impact absorption.
The CAIR® saddle panels are thinner than traditionally stuffed panels, resulting in more effective communication of seat aids. Further, CAIR® air panels won’t generate “bounce”.

CAIR panels are placed in the same
part of your saddle as the flocking
in traditionally stuffed panels.

CAIR® panels fluidly adjust to your horse’s muscle movement.

This product has undergone rigorous testing in which the CAIR® air panels have been placed under 500kg (1/2 tonne) for a minimum of 30,000 compressions. Their durability is ensured.

If, however, the CAIR® panel was accidentally punctured by a sharp object (for example a barbed wire fence), it can be replaced easily.

Should you wish to alter the balance of your saddle to suit your riding style, traditional panel stuffing can be added above the CAIR® air panels. This will not alter the performance of the air panels and they will absorb any unevenness that may form, leaving your horse’s back virtually free of pressure points.

4/The Wintec and Bates “Easy change Gullet system®

At Wintec/Bates, we know that you may need to use your saddle on different horses, or that your horse may change it’s shape as it matures, or gets fitter. So we’ve developed the EASY CHANGE GULLET SYSTEM® to enable you to custom fit your saddle to any horse in just a few minutes.
Here’s how ...

First, use the EASY CHANGE GULLET GAUGE® to measure your horse’s withers, and determine the correct gullet size for the horse. There are six different gullet sizes available. Then all you need is a screwdriver and a few minutes to change the gullet in your saddle. It’s that easy.

Quick 6 Step Easy-Change guide :

1/ Unscrew both screws located under the skirts at the head of the saddle's tree 2/ Pull away the Velcro closure in the head of the saddle and pull the front panel down from the points, thus freeing the front half of the panel. 3/ Remove the two screws at each end of the gullet plate.
4/ Fit new gullet place the screw without tightening them until the gullet is lined up and then fully tighten both screws. 5/ Re-fit the panel in the point's pockets. 6/ Re-tighen the screws under the pommel of the saddle and close Velcro fastening. Do not over-tighten screws. A firm pressure is all you need.

5/ Treeless saddles: a new sensation!

Discover a new sensation and share it too! The treeless saddles give the sensation of riding bareback. You sit closer to your horse, and feel the increased freedom of movement compared to a traditional saddle.
Designed on the principle of freedom of movement, they adapt to the anatomy of the horse and rider, they are totally flexible and physically adjust to your horse, and adapt to the horse and rider's shape with the removable and changeable seats (depending on model).
